Uppsala University Hospital is on walking distance from the centre of Uppsala.

Several bus routes from the railway station and the town centre go through or past the hospital area. There is a taxi rank (taxi stand) outside entrance 78/79. Direct telephones to the various taxi firms can be found in the entrance to the Emergency Department and at entrances 50, 70, 78/79, 85 and 95/96. Here there are also direct lines to the community transport (färdtjänst) and patient transport (sjukresa) services.
