National Centre for Knowledge on Men's Violence against Women

National Centre for Knowledge on Men's Violence Against Women (NCK) runs an expert clinic for women who have been subjected to physical, psychological or sexual violence.
The out-patient clinic is open during office hours for appointed consultations with a doctor, a nurse or a medical social worker. Emergencies are handled immediately.
The clinical unit at NCK also runs the national women´s helpline Kvinnofridslinjen 020-50 50 50. The helpline is open around the clock, every day of the year.
The calls are taken by nurses and social workers who have extensive experience of dealing with women subjected to violence, and who can provide up-to-date information about support resources all over the country. The calls are free and do not appear on the telephone bill. Callers may remain anonymous.
