Hygiene
Everyone benefits from clean hands!
Although the Swedish healthcare system is constantly developing, successful new treatment methods, there is one thing that hasn’t changed: anyone receiving treatment still runs a risk of infection.
However, these infections are preventable if a few simple precautions are taken (see below). Please contact the nursing staff if you have any questions.
Patients
Always wash your hands before eating and after visiting the toilet. Dry your hands using a paper towel. Please use antibacterial hand wash if you cannot get to a wash basin. Do not receive visitors who have colds or who are carrying anotherany other kind of infection. Do not receive too many visitors at the same time.
Visitors
Wash your hands before and after your visit. Do not touch bandages, drips, or any other equipment around the bed. Do not enter the ward’s kitchen, or any other area used for preparing food; do not enter the store cupboard, and do not remove items from kitchen trolleys.
