The Children's Hospital
The University children's hospital is a hospital for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. Care is always patient-oriented and is characterized by warmth and security. The staff are specially trained to care for children and hospital guidelines specify adherence to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and NOBAB (Nordic association for the needs of sick children) standards. The goal is always to maintain a high medical standard while retaining quality care. The children's hospital cares for children and adolescents in need of medical, surgical and orthopedic assistance. There are specialist clinics, an emergency department, a surgical department, a unit for clinical genetics, wards and a rehabilitation area.
