Pulmonary and Allergic Diseases

The pulmonary and allergic disease department investigates and treats all lung diseases. Health care is both acute and by appointment. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer are the main diagnostic groups. The outpatient department provides chemotherapy, with follow-up by a contact nurse, and treatment of patients undergoing fiber-bronchoscopy. The sleep apnea department runs clinics several times a week, and offers continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) testing with night-time recordings. Patients treated with oxygen at home have their own contact nurse who makes home visits once a year.
