Oncology

The oncology department offers highly specialized care and treatment to patients with tumors, at county level, regionally and nationally. In this department, the tumors are treated with drugs, including chemotherapy and various kinds of radiotherapy. Through regular consultation, the department supports the care of cancer patients in the region's other hospitals. The area consists of reception, a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line clinic, a day-care department/cytostatic clinic, an inpatient ward, and a radiotherapy area (external, brachytherapy, stereotactic, proton therapy). There is also a clinical research and development unit.
